Good location for quality japanese food. Went there on a Saturday.
Don't be fooled by the looks, this place is a high quality sushi place. Stuffed eggplant was amazing, the chicken arri gulag salad was also great. Sushi is a legit sushi don't expect crappy makimonos here.
Kiriko is the treasure of Sawtelle Blvd. Their attention to detail makes everything taste better than you thought it could. Even their tempura tastes special. I highly recommend their 5 salmon sashimi sampler and their spinach and mushroom salad.
5 stars for food, servers were really bad even though we sat at the counter. Fantastic omakase!
Delicious as always! Clean, safe and easy ordering on the app during this quarantine.
When in LA, this is a must visit sushi destination.
Kiriko is one of my favorite japanese restaurants in Los Angeles, their sushi is prepared with the freshest fish in the market. We went for an early Sunday dinner, the restaurant was not as busy as the week days, the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. We had assorted sashimi, tempura, eel and avocado rolls, crab rolls, tuna rolls and yummy miso soup. Each dish was an art piece and every bite was an explosion of flavors; a delicate and unique palate experience. The chefs welcomed their clients with friendly smiles and loud voice while preparing everybody’s dishes. Experts with the knife and talented artists of zen cuisine, they made us feel as happy and comfortable as dining at a friend’s home.
Simple and elegant Japanese cuisine in the middle of Sawtelle Japantown. Focus on good food!
Mind blowing sushi. Absolutely delicious!
Food was great. But the service was slow. I will go back for sure.
This is a more expensive but still reasonable sushi bar in the area. The rice and fish are both good and you would feel satisfied with what you paid for. They would have some fresh fish from Japan although I never felt that would be must have order.
Great sushi!
Pretty typical, quaint Japanese restaurant. It was a little spendy for what it was, but overall it was good. Flavor and quality were on point.
Sushi was okay, but the services was not great. My biggest issue is that after calling them back to try and rectify the issue, they essentially blew me off pointing the finger at the delivery company. No resolution, no ownership for the issue ... disappointing.
It’s one of the best sushi places in LA, but still tastes ok to me.
Excellent quality sushi served with flair!
This restaurant is amazing, top notch and Ken, the chef owner is a gem -- brilliant, sensitive and a great perfectionist. The omakase is a must. It's the best in LA. My husband and I go to Kiriko for every special occasion we can make an excuse for. Be sure to try their homemade ice-cream -- it is better than any ice cream on the west coast and they don't sell it to you unless you have a meal (it's more of a special way to end a meal)...I so often want to pop in just for that. Their weekly lunch specials are a well kept secret, reasonable and so tasty.
Just came back from the restaurant. I am experienced at selecting sushi restaurants, I came across this one and it was really on par with some other top sushi restaurants. Very fresh fish and toro. Great stuff.
Ken-san is an awesome chef. Best omekase in town.
Great meal. Great food without any pretense. No inexpensive, but well worth it. Very happy patron. Thanks.
The best sushi outside of Tokyo. Ken and Tomo deliver amazingly fresh sushi of the highest quality with detailed attention paid to every piece served. Perfection.
(4.5 stars)
Great lunch special!
Very good sushi, very friendly staff, expensive house specials.
Ken at Kiriko never ceases to amaze and please! You will never have a more pleasant and delicious Japanese meal! The service is outstanding and the quality of the fish is top notch. It is my favorite sushi restaurant in Los Angeles.
Had a lovely meal with my beautiful amazing gorgeous intelligent sexy girlfriend, we had lots of lovely dishes served! Will definitely be back soon :)
Some of the best sushi we've had in the States. Well worth it.
The food was great and they even had a chicken bowl that was more than enough food to share with my little one. The sushi tastes very fresh and we got lucky with a super friendly waiter. We were in and out within our 1 hr work lunch and that was perfect for us.
My wife and I got lunch here and it was absolutely delightful. The 7 piece sushi special was a great price for the quality of the sushi. Even in an area spoiled with excellent sushi, this place stands out.
My favorite Sushi place in LA.A little pricey but I think it’s worth it.Bonita, spanish Mackarel, very fresh Uni, seasonal fresh fish. The fatty yellowtail and fatty tuna are amazingly insane. The red miso soup is so good too.I’ve been here a few times and it gets better every time. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you want to experience the fish and have no problem with the prices get sashimi. If you wana pay a little less but still get the same fish get it as sushi.Park in the underground parking garage and don’t forget to validate.
Expertly prepared Sushi and Sashimi by chef Ken and his team.
As always, they never disappoint. Daniel always humble and greets everyone with a smile! The crew always attentive and we're always treated like Family. We come here every Friday!!!
Kiriko is the one of the best Japanese restaurants in L.A.. Both they're food and service are incredible!
I saw this place on the YouTube show First We Feast and did the chef tour, where he made us whatever he wanted. It was expensive, over $300 for two expensive, but we both experienced dishes we never dreamed of. Vinegar jelly over exotic cuts of fish kind of amazing. I felt like Anthony Bordane but less burnt out. If you don't want to do the bank breaker, chef's call, everything else is guaranteed good.
I simply loved their food. I always get fantastic customer service here. The place is clean and the staff members are always helpful. Will visit here again.
Creative and tasty sushi made by an excellent and very nice chef.
FRESH SUSHI. Expensive, but incredibly high grade sushi. It gets busy during lunch time, so call ahead and make a reservation, especially for the bar. Note, there is no menu for the sushi bar, so be ready to call out your favorite sashimi.
Good food, calm and relaxing place for dinner, good service.
Great selection sushi, but overpriced
the first time I'm pleased with everything in a restaurant. from.. the place having good ambiance, servers and staff were friendly, service was excellent and above all food was excellent! Definitely coming back here! The med sized sushi plate was.
Hands down my favorite sushi spot. The fish is very fresh and they have a lot of variety. It's more of a traditional sushi spot so you won't find a lot of cut and hand rolls. The sweet shrimp is my favorite. I would also recommend the sashimi deluxe if you wanna try out different things, it's a big portion, good for two people.
Amazing omakase! Deliciously fresh!
Authentic, and high quality.
Its a good restaurant as well as the foods
Yummy sushi !!!!!
good food for dinner, let are how lunch is? Kinda hungry. What's good here for lunch hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
It's tasty but quite pricy. And a lot of rules to dine here.
I recommend their Tokyo-style sushi !!! So far the most authentic Japanese dishes I ever tasted in LA. This place does it right and it tastes just like the stuff I used to eat back in Tokyo during a business trip before. If I could rate them more than 5 stars, I would!!!
